Teleperformance employees provided 1,000 backpacks to many Title I schools across the country through recurring payroll contributions. Each backpack contained school supplies and personal hygiene products. Schools that received these contributions included:

  • morning Elementary School, Port Saint Lucia, Florida
  • North Broward Academy, North Lauderdale, Florida
  • Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, Hammond, Indiana
  • harker Heights Elementary School, Killeen, Texas

At Harker Heights Elementary School, TPUSA handed out backpacks and pallets of plastic folders and dry-erase markers that teachers need to conduct their classes.

Company employees donated 10 new computers to the northeast tennessee and Southwest Virginia YWCA Tech Gyrls, an after-school program for girls in grades 4-8. For employees in Warren, Michigan, supporting education also meant inspiring students to achieve their dreams. Employees volunteered to give informative talks on career development with the 8the grade classes Larson High Schoolurging them to study in areas they are passionate about.

Although unexpected events can occur, education should not stop when disaster strikes. After Hurricane Ian damaged many communities in FloridaTPUSA dispatched three disaster relief trucks consisting of 2,500 children’s backpacks in the event of a disaster to aid in the comfort and recovery of affected children in the communities of Gainesville, Farm, fort myersY wauchula in Florida. These backpacks contained hygiene and safety items, stuffed animals, colored pencils, a pencil sharpener, a spiral notebook, and a coloring book called “The Comfort Quilt.” The book features illustrations for children to color and share with adults or teachers to promote conversation and understanding of a child’s thoughts and emotions.

TPUSA also partnered with the Granite Education Foundation (GEF), which strives to improve educational outcomes by strengthening the Granite School District community in Salt Lake City, Utah. Donations support GEF programs that provide food assistance, student aid, and support for educators. This includes annually recognizing 10 outstanding educators with classroom scholarships and school supplies. This year, Teleperformance donated $2,388as well as a $20,000 anonymous donation, to Alan Truitt Force of Good which supports the GEF.

TPUSA’s goal is to remove barriers and biases to promote a culture of inclusion. Employee Engagement promoted an online donation drive in support of the Autism Society of America and raised $366, with 31 percent of all donations going to education.
