In a change of pace, one of the biggest new titles on Netflix this week isn’t a Netflix Original. Bullet Train, starring Brad Pitt and a host of other famous people, hits Netflix this week and is likely to make our list of the best Netflix movies.
As someone who has seen it in theaters, I can attest to the fact that Bullet Train is a fun and fun shot of adrenaline. It feels like what would happen if you asked someone to make a John Wick movie that was fun and more about an ensemble than its star. Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, Causeway, Eternals) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age of Ultron) pretty much steal the entire movie, while Bad Bunny’s role as a hit man called The Wolf is memorable for own right.
Also, this week we have a big return of a popular Netflix show that is already coming to an end. Firefly Lane: Season 2 Part 1 will begin with the final chapter of Kate’s (Sarah Chalke) and Tully’s (Katherine Heigl) friendship story.
One new movie that is sure to get people talking is Netflix’s adaptation of DH Lawrence’s novel Lady Chatterly’s Lover. This edition stars Emma Corrin (Princess Diana from The Crown) and Jack O’Connell (Skins)!
Elsewhere, Robert Downey Jr. pays tribute to his father, iconic filmmaker Robert Downey Sr., in “Mr.” Also, get ready for more JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean and Snack VS. Chef, a series of tasty-looking eating contests in which chefs seek to reinvent the classic snack. If done right, it could make it to our list of the best shows on Netflix. Speaking of new shows, those with Disney Plus may want to watch Willow online, as the wannabe sorcerer has returned.
Need more? Have you devoured this weekend’s new movies and shows yet? Well get ready for the 2022 World Cup.
